ST KATHARINE’S

The Royal Foundation of St Katharine is a charitable foundation in the heart of London’s East End. It has a long and rich history dating back to 1147. It is now a Christian conference and retreat centre, which is headed by the Master, the Revd Mark Aitken.

The Contextual Theology Centre has been based at St Katharine’s since its beginnings in 2005. Staff, interns and supporters of the Centre play an integral role in the life of St Katherine’s, especially the daily cycle of prayer and worship in the Foundation’s Chapel.

The Royal Foundation of St Katharine is home to the Kenneth Leech Archive and a small urban theology library, both of which can be accessed by prior arrangement. Please get in touch with us if you are interested.
